Today, when war games are mentioned, Battlefield and Call of Duty may come to mind, but in time, series such as Medal of Honor and Brothers in Arms also managed to create a fan base for themselves. Now we have learned that one of these old friends is getting ready to meet with game lovers again.
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford; AIAS (Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences) confirmed in the Game Maker’s Notebook podcast that their studio is working on a new Brothers in Arms game:
Actually, this interview took place months ago, but because it was just uploaded to YouTube, it was so late to bet on the news. In any case, we can think of it as a new news, isn’t it that much? 🙂
Pitchford also underlined that they will not be impatient to show the play. Because of this, as in the example of Borderlands 3, this game can be shown in a calendar close to its release.
The Brothers in Arms series has been in a deep sleep since 2008, if we take a look at some of its side games (Bia 2 and BiA 3, which were released on portable platforms in 2010 and 2014). They obviously think it’s time to revive this series. In fact, it would not be bad at all, there is a need for alternatives of this kind in the market. Presumably, this will result in the need to try something new in other series as well.
