Facebook’s introduction of smart glasses quickly afterwards, Xiaomi is also preparing to challenge Facebook by launching its own smart glasses. The device will be able to take photos, display notifications and notifications, search, navigate and translate text right in front of your eyes in real time.
Xiaomi’s smart glasses weighing only 51g and powered by a quad-core ARM processor. On device MicroLED display technology is used and the company has listed several reasons for this decision. Firstly, this allows Xiaomi to reduce the design space required in the structural design, which makes the device lighter. Second, MicroLEDs have a natural emissive property allowing for brighter screens and deeper blacks, thus allowing higher pixel density and longer lifespan while maintaining an easier structure.
The display chip used in the device measures 2.4 mm x 2.02 mm and has different pixels of only 4µm in size. xiaomi, as it uses a monochrome display analysis, photos taken with the wearable device cannot be displayed using them in color, and the company says this is done “to allow enough light to pass through complex optical structures.”
Xiaomi did not disclose the price of its smart glasses or when it will be released in the press release.
