A new game has been added to the games that gained popularity in one day. Combining Halo mechanics with a portaled world, Splitgate has fallen victim to its success. The 1047 Games team, which started to have serious server problems, explained the details of the problem quite simply.
The game, which has started to attract serious attention on Steam, has reached the number of 60.000 simultaneous players. According to official data, the game has 100,000 concurrent players across all platforms. This caused waiting times to extend to almost 90 minutes.
Olly Freeman, one of the server engineers of the game, published a video from his TikTok account and explained the server problems to the players in a simple way. Using the words “We cannot add more tables” by giving an example of a restaurant, the manager also responded to the criticisms of “increase the number of servers”.
