The company, which is the only reason why a whole generation in our country defines every console as Atari, has officially announced that it wants to return to “premium” PC games. The developer, which currently has plenty of mobile and free-to-play games, insists on turning the tide.

In fact, according to Atari’s statements, the studio has already started working on a game that will “reach a loyal audience”. This game is expected to be released in the fiscal year that will end in April 2022. The developer even stated that he wants to use his “library of more than 200 legendary games”.

There is no information about this new game for now, but the phrase “large library” is definitely a message. Maybe we can see “Pac-Man Battle Royale” or “Gremlins Remastered Edition” soon.

The fact that Atari could not find what he hoped for in the mobile and F2P market and want to return to its origins is a good detail in terms of evaluating that wide library.
