If Dyson has its way, we will soon find out much more precisely how much dirt is really distributed in our apartment. A new cordless vacuum cleaner is equipped with green lasers that make secrets visible to everyone. But the futuristic vacuum cleaner from Dyson is not cheap.

The American company Dyson has presented a very special vacuum cleaner, the V15 Detect, which is equipped with lasers and a piezo sensor. The technologies are intended to help ensure that homes are still clean. When vacuuming, however, this only makes it clearer how much dirt is really on the floor.

While other manufacturers rely on LEDs to illuminate the floor, the Dyson V15 Detect uses laser technology. According to the manufacturer, even the smallest particles should be visible. Dyson tries to make a comparison to the sun, in which particles floating through the air are made visible via the rays of the sun. Now the dirt should also shine.

The new Dyson vacuum cleaner should not only detect dirt on the floor, but it should also measure it. The built-in piezo sensor is used for this. The sucked-up dirt is counted up to 15,000 times per second. The result can be viewed on the vacuum cleaner’s integrated LC display – including an evaluation according to size and type. Such a function should make sense, especially for allergy sufferers.

Dyson V15 Detect: Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for $ 700

Dyson’s new vacuum cleaner is definitely not a bargain. In the US, the Dyson V15 Detect can now be purchased for just under $ 700. The cordless vacuum cleaner has not yet been announced for the European market. A price between 600 and 700 euros can be expected here.

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a rechargeable battery that provides a running time of around 60 minutes before it has to be plugged in again. Compared to other vacuum cleaners from the manufacturer, the brush has also been taken care of and refined.
