Facebook Announces Oculus Quest 2

Mark Zuckerberg announced the Oculus Quest 2 wireless virtual reality headset with the Facebook Connect event. The product, which has been improved in many aspects compared to its predecessor, offers a higher resolution screen, better battery life, new and improved controls and more at a price of $ 299.

While Quest 2 offers a resolution of 1830 x 1920 pixels per eye, the screen is now LCD. The refresh rate will initially be 72 Hz, but it is stated that it will be 90 Hz with a later update. Inside-out monitoring also uses the four cameras on the front of the headset, as before.
Based on Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2, the title uses 6 GB of RAM. By the way, the $ 299 model will have 64 GB of internal storage, while the $ 399 model will offer 256 GB of internal storage. According to Facebook, the headline is about 10 percent lighter than the original. It will also incorporate optical adjustments and use a new fabric headband that promises to be more comfortable. The pre-order process has started for the Oculus Quest 2, which will be available as of October 13.
