Six years… Not a little ice; I’ve been waiting for a brand new Halo experience for six years. in 2015 Halo 5

I remember the period when was released, I moved back to İzmir at that time and I was living in a house without internet infrastructure. before you come Metal Gear Solid V

I pre-ordered and downloaded it beforehand so I can play even though I don’t have internet when I arrive. However, exactly Halo 5

I did not have the opportunity to do it in . That’s why, on the day it came out, I went directly to the sites of technology markets, went to a branch of one that is relatively close to me but still far away, and then placed an order. I was a week late, but I played.

So why did I tell you this? in that period Halo 5 I was only able to play the story and since I did not have proper access to the internet, my opinion was “The episode design and overall gameplay are good, although the story is disappointing”. I was stunned when I saw the reflection of the internet. Now, six years later, I am experiencing the release of a new Halo game with the internet. And one of the things that stunned me again is that this time everyone had a pretty positive reaction (for the multiplayer part, at least).

Halo Infinite - Impression of Technology 2

Many years later, everyone is happy!

Yes, at the end of July 343 Industries Halo Infinite

It allowed us to experience with this “Technology Impression”. It was a version of the game that could almost be an alpha version, and much of that process was spent in conflict with bots. They also opened a few hours of PVP, and everyone invited to this event had the opportunity to experience the new Halo. As I said, everyone from the old Halo players to those who are freshly acquainted with the series left this event quite positive and in the end hopeful. They broke my mouth with the opening of PVP, but I also left quite pleasant overall, yes.

In this activity Halo Infinite‘s three new maps, a few new weapons, some old weapons, how bots work, and although not fully representative Halo Infinite we had the opportunity to experience in general what multiplayer would be like. I have a lot to say about all of them, but as you know, this version is quite old and I don’t want to dwell on some things too much, probably because there may be a proper beta soon.

Halo Infinite - Impression of Technology 3

But at the beginning of the things I want to focus on are maps. Halo 5‘s multiplayer and I thought it was much better emotionally than other Halos, but the designs of some maps felt soulless, detached and meaningless. In this event, we saw three different maps with different concepts, Live Fire, Recharge and Bazaar, and 343 Industries did a really solid job in terms of design. Live Fire is the classic “training ground” map we’ve seen in multiple FPS games. It’s kind of like the Killhouse in Call of Duty 4. It’s easy to read, catchy what’s where, and very “clean” in design. Recharge, on the other hand, is a somewhat Halo 5-like map set in a closed environment. We were able to experience the hook that came with Halo Infinite for the first time on this map, as there are variables in height. Even though Bazaar is criticized by the audience that “complains to complain” and is called “not Halo”, in the atmosphere of New Mombasa we encountered in Halo 2, it is a map with a consistency that can be the cut of many Sniper montages due to its design.

Halo Infinite - Impression of Technology 4

As you can see, all three maps in this event had a unique feature, a feel, and a theme to Halo. It is obvious that there was a design idea in particular at the beginning of the 343i; These were all maps that felt easier, more “arena shooter”-like. The only thing that happened to me after the event was over was “I hope they maintain this quality on other maps”. That’s why I try not to get too excited.

the feeling of the gods was indeed perfect. Even in this type of activity most weapons were stable, nothing random that felt too “OP”. Halo 5

Glad to see that the pistol that was supposed to be a backup weapon in has regained its former role in Infinite after being too strong. If the Assault Rifle Halo 5

After , it became the “entrance weapon” that Halo needed for a while. If you are entering Halo for the first time or if you have been playing for years, it seems to be a very effective weapon that you can use easily, as long as you know what you are doing, and if you master it. However, the weapon that brought me joy in general was the Battle Rifle. In fact, I have a habit of picking it up as I see it in almost every Halo game, but it was very satisfying to use it in Infinite. In fact, it feels satisfying to use all the weapons in general, I guess it’s because the gun sounds have changed and made it feel more punchy and “shooting”. Among the new weapons, Commando, a heavy-duty scanned rifle with DMR and AR, was one of the most satisfying ones for me. As long as you’re good at aiming, it’s effective from any range and it’s fun to hunt down enemies. If I was able to use it, I guess I would have liked Skewer too; You know, it’s a single shot sniper rifle/rocket launcher that throws an angry anchor and hits the enemy from anywhere, but when the payoff is so good, they made it very difficult to use it.

Halo Infinite - Impression of Technology 5

Classic yet fresh

Apart from that, there are things that change the classic Halo gameplay. for example Halo 4

The running feature, which has been a module of Halo since , is also available in Infinite. When I was fighting against bots, I said, “I wish they could at least prevent the shield from filling up while running like in Halo 5. However, I had to say that if the shield wasn’t full after the PVP experience, it would be quite a hassle to escape from the conflicts even to change the magazine. I don’t even need to mention that the hook is very cool and useful, but the change that interested me the most is now the invisibility, additional shield, etc. that we found on the map. that we do not have to use additional features such as For example, you’ve seen invisibility, you don’t have to ignore it just because there are no enemies around. You can buy it and use it whenever you want (as long as you don’t die). This adds an extra layer of tactics to matches. In particular, I think this will be an incredibly fun and stabilizing innovation in the Halo competitive environment.

Halo Infinite - Impression of Technology 6

In addition, the 343i Halo Infinite also showed a little bit about the character customization part and the Battle Pass, but I find it a little pointless to talk about it in detail before the game is released, due to the limited options and Battle Pass. But character customization Halo 5

After , there was a version that was much more detailed and reminiscent of classic Halos. Although some players are rightfully complaining about the artificial intelligence thing and the fact that they talk a lot in general, I think that the new audience will be able to play the game. Also known as multiplayer will be free, 343i will consider every option they can make money.

In short, the multiplayer part of Halo Infinite looks pretty decent, at least for now. The 343i has done the impossible this time and has done a job that can satisfy both old and new Halo audiences. Of course, all of this may change depending on how the game will be and how the story mode will be, but it is the only game I have not had much hope for since Xbox announced it. Halo Infinite finally managed to get me excited too.
