Motorola Razr 5G makes the cult mobile phone even better
Now also with 5G: Motorola has introduced a new variant of its foldable Razr cell phone, in which some details have been changed. There are still two displays and the Razr-typical folding mechanism is available. But it wasn’t enough for real flagship hardware everywhere – despite the high price.
Motorola Razr 5G: New edition of the classic
After the first new edition of the Motorola Razr, which was launched in November 2019, another has now been announced. Motorola has made some sensible changes to the Razr in some areas, but the price is not as flexible as the foldable display of the smartphone suggests.
The internal OLED display has a diagonal of 6.2 inches, an elongated format of 21 by 9 and has a resolution of 2,142 x 876 pixels. According to the manufacturer, the hinge will withstand 200,000 folding operations with ease. Even if it is opened frequently, it should hold out for at least five years.
Nothing has changed with the external display, it offers a further 2.7 inches diagonal and shows incoming messages, but can basically also be used for all other tasks. The “hump” on the underside is still prominent, but somewhat smaller and more curved than on the model from 2019.
Motorola Razr 5G: More powerful battery and processor
The features of the Motorola Razr have often been criticized. The manufacturer has improved the Motorola Razr 5G with a Snapdragon 765G with 5G module and a battery that now offers 2,800 instead of 2,510 mAh. It is charged with up to 15 watts. However, the cell phone should not last very long on one battery charge.

There are also improvements in the camera, which now allow pictures with up to 48 instead of 16 MP. Optical image stabilization is also included. Videos are possible with 4K resolution. The Motorola Razr 5G does not need a separate front camera due to its design.
