A few months ago, Netflix’s Apple Arcade-like, a subscription based gaming platform was said to be working on it. In the news we shared last week, we showed that Netflix, the world’s largest online series and movie platform, will be thrown into a completely different sector. The company allegedly rolled up its sleeves to develop its own video game.
Today, although the bomb news we expected from Netflix has not yet officially arrived, there has been a development showing that this issue has been finalized. Company, in a message to its investors confirmed that they will open up to the game world. Although there is no detailed information about what kind of plan there is yet, that message offered extremely important information:
Netflix is coming to the gaming industry:
” We are in the early stages of expansion into games, previous Stranger Things and our efforts in interaction (Black Mirror, Bandersnatch) we are shaped around. We see gaming as another new category of content for us, similar to our expansion to original movies, animation, and unscripted TV. Games, movies, and TV shows at no additional cost. will be included in members’ Netflix subscription. Initially, first we will focus on games for mobile devices. We’re as excited as ever about the movies and series we’re offering, and we look forward to increased investment and growth across all our current content categories. But now that we’ve been transitioning to original programming almost a decade ago, we think the time is right to learn more about how our members value games.”
Important points in the message:
- Netflix, interactive games aims to improve.
- Games, will be included in subscription packages, no external money will be requested.
- Mobile games first will be released.
No word yet on what kind of games Netflix will offer. If a platform like Netflix makes a breakthrough in the game world, the game world is in the future. is an indication that it will come to much greater points. Or maybe Netflix screwed things up enough to say ‘I wish we hadn’t been kicked out’? So, do you think Netflix will be successful in the gaming industry?
