Blasphemous is one of the most successful soulslike – metroidvania games of recent years for me, and I never neglect to praise it whenever I get the chance. Last night, two news came from Blasphemous, which is one of the most appropriate examples of medicine with its visual form, incredible music and memorable story.
When Game Kitchen said they had an announcement for the night of August 26th, I honestly assumed it was a sequel. However, I clearly did not expect the DLC to be announced, which was a very pleasant surprise.
The game will get a final expansion pack called Wounds of Eventide in December and will offer a “true ending” for Blasphemous. This shows that this is not a standalone DLC, but a main game add-on that will continue the story directly. This is very good news.
Game Kitchen also announced that they have started working on the sequel and that they are targeting 2023 for this. Although no details about the new game have been shared, it’s nice to know that Blasphemous has achieved the success it deserves and satisfied Game Kitchen with its sales.
