Samsung Electronics, edited introduced the new One UI Watch user experience at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event. The new interface is designed to better connect the experiences offered by Galaxy Watch smartwatches and Galaxy smartphones. Samsung also announced that the One UI Watch interface will be available for Galaxy Watch on the new and unified platform developed with Google. With the new interface, performance will improve, a smoother experience will be offered between Galaxy Watch and Android smartphones, and the number of applications that can be accessed will increase. Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Watch, which will be the first smart watch with the new unified platform and One UI Watch interface, will take the stage at the Unpacked event to be held at the end of summer.
An entirely new experience
The One UI Watch interface will offer a completely new Galaxy Watch experience with the unified platform. As part of this new experience, watch-compatible apps downloaded to smartphones will quickly land on the smartwatch. If the clock application on the phone is set to show the time in different parts of the world, this view will be automatically reflected on the smartwatch. Calls or messages blocked on the smart watch will also be automatically blocked on the phone.
The unified platform also brings new features and integrations to popular third-party apps that can be downloaded directly to the Galaxy Watch smartwatch via Google Play. Sports and fitness enthusiasts include Adidas Running, GOLFBUDDY Smart Caddie, Strava and Swim. com, health and balanced life applications, applications such as Calm or Sleeo Cycle, music lovers and those who want to discover new artists will be able to use applications such as Spotify and YouTube Music, and travelers and explorers will be able to use applications such as Google Maps through their smart watches. Thanks to Samsung’s many collaborations, Galaxy smart watches will surely have an application that everyone can love.
New options in personalization
In addition, Samsung will make it easier than ever for designers to develop new watch faces with its improved watch face design tool. Android developers will be able to add many fun new designs to Samsung’s ever-expanding collection of watch faces, giving users new possibilities to personalize their smartwatches to suit their mood, preferred activities or personality.
