Technopark İzmir and the famous Oyun Enterprise Studio Games United have signed a memorandum of understanding to carry out an incubation program on games. With the program to be carried out, all creative people and game developers in the digital game segment will come together.
All entrepreneur candidates who have an innovative game idea and want to gain experience by developing their idea will be open to the Teknopark İzmir – Games United Game Incubation Program, which was created with the aim of bringing game developers together and creating a game ecosystem in the region. The application calendar for the program will be published in the near future.
The program, which aims to establish a strong game ecosystem, develop the digital game department and implement successful projects in Teknopark İzmir, will last for 12 months.
Entrepreneurs who are accepted to the program, which will be open to the application of game studios working at all levels and of all types, will benefit from the Incubation Center during the reinforcement period; Studios that have successfully completed the incubation period will have special conditions for working in Teknopark İzmir.
To the newly established or early stage game entrepreneurs who will participate in the program; In addition to services such as group formation, strategy and business development, a starting capital basis will also be provided.
Within the scope of the repeat program, customized trainings will also be designed according to the needs of entrepreneurs at different stages.
At the signing ceremony, IZTECH Rector and Technopark Izmir Board of Directors Leader Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran, Teknopark İzmir General Manager Prof. Dr. Metin Tanoğlu, Games United Executive Council Leader Dr. Bilgehan Baykal and Co-Founder President Kartal came to the fore.

Games United Board of Directors leader Dr. Bilgehan Baykal, on the other hand, touched upon Turkey’s position as the head of digital content production in his speech and shared Games United’s goals in this field in detail. Stating that their aim is to open 2 more incubation centers, one of which is in Istanbul, in 2021 after the incubation centers opened at Anadolu University Arınkom and IZTECH, Baykal explained that their vision is to encourage players who have been trained and established groups in incubation centers to become companies, become partners with them and expand abroad. Referring to the value of software and service exports in Turkey’s development, Baykal said that he aims to transform the Games United group of companies, which currently consists of 8 companies, into Europe’s most influential digital content production center operating in the developing areas of hypercasual, casual and digital content by 2022.
prof. Dr. Metin Tanoğlu stated at the signing ceremony that Teknopark İzmir and IZTECH are increasingly working on software, information technologies and game software, and are progressing towards becoming a HUB in the region.
