Microsoft first heralded the return of the famous flight simulation Flight Simulator in 2019, and the game was released for PC in August 2020. Since then, the question of when Flight Simulator will come to Microsoft’s consoles Xbox Series X and Series S has never fallen off the agenda. However, a clear timeline for Xbox users has not been announced. Until this year’s E3. . .
And now, the gospel given at E3 has come true; Flight Simulator has arrived on the next generation Xbox consoles. Flight Simulator has been available for Xbox Series X and Series S consoles since yesterday. The simulation is available to pre-order customers, as well as Xbox Game Pass and Ultimate subscribers for consoles. Microsoft says users can “expect the same level of depth as the PC version” from the game.
The re-release of Flight Simulator has been a huge success for Microsoft. The game has been called the biggest Game Pass launch ever. Constantly updated with free “World Updates” that bring complex landscapes, bug fixes and more. It also gained VR support late last year, introducing a more immersive way for users to experience the simulator. Finally, the game’s arrival on the new generation Xbox consoles may pave the way for greater success. We’ll wait and see. . .
